Quick Guide to Traveling the World in ONE Day at EPCOT
Get ready for a whirlwind journey around the globe at EPCOT's World Showcase! With 11 unique pavilions, this Disney park invites you to immerse yourself in diverse cultures, cuisines, and experiences. Here’s a quick guide to help you make the most of your adventure:
1. Mexico Pavilion:
Dive into Mexico’s vibrant energy with lively music, colorful decor, and mouthwatering cuisine. Hop on the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros for a relaxing boat ride and treat yourself to a margarita or tequila tasting at La Cava del Tequila — worth the wait!
2. Norway Pavilion:
Step into the charm of Norway with the frosty fun of Frozen Ever After, a must-ride! It can get long wait times though so consider rope dropping or purchasing a Lightning Lane to beat the crowds. One of our family traditions is riding Frozen Ever After then stopping at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe for a traditional treat like school bread or even a troll horn.
3. China Pavilion:
Marvel at the stunning Reflections of China film showcasing breathtaking landscapes. Savor the authentic flavors of Chinese cuisine at Nine Dragons Restaurant. The serene walkways are some of my favorite and the intricate architectural details that make this pavilion unforgettable.
4. Germany Pavilion:
Experience the heart of Bavaria with bratwurst, pretzels, and the festive atmosphere at the Biergarten Restaurant. During festivals, try their delightful cheese offerings and traditional German beers at the festival booths. Another must stop is Karamell-Juche where they sell all things caramel including Werther’s Original treats.
5. Italy Pavilion:
Soak in the romance of Italy by indulging in exquisite pasta dishes and gelato. Shop for unique souvenirs like Venetian masks or Italian chocolates. While the pavilion’s festival booths can be hit or miss, the dining options are stellar.
6. The American Adventure Pavilion:
Explore U.S. history by watching The American Adventure show for a patriotic experience. Listen to the Voices of Liberty a cappella group, especially during the holidays when they perform in period costumes and sing Christmas carols. When they invite you under the dome, don’t hesitate! The sound is like nothing else.
7. Japan Pavilion:
Immerse yourself in Japanese culture as you wander through tranquil gardens and shop for unique items. Savor fresh sushi and other delicacies, and don’t miss the Matsuriza Taiko drumming performance for a cultural highlight. One of my all-time favorite views in Epcot is looking towards the front of the park from the Japan Pavilion!
8. Morocco Pavilion:
Transport yourself to Morocco by admiring intricate mosaics and shopping for handmade treasures. Savor the flavors at Spice Road Table while enjoying a lagoon-side view. Book a reservation during the nightly fireworks for an extra-special treat. Morocco is the only pavilion where the country’s government was involved in the design as they wanted to ensure the integrity of how the country would be represented.
9. France Pavilion:
Find yourself on the streets of Paris with delectable pastries and fine wines. Become captivated by the stunning Eiffel Tower replica and consider a visit to the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. You'll also find family fun at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in the back of the France Pavilion. Grab a delectable macaron or whole French baguette at Les Halles Boulangerie-Pâtisserie. Or stop for the best ice cream in all of Disney World at L’Artisan des Glaces.
10. United Kingdom Pavilion:
Embrace British charm as you wander through beautiful gardens and quaint shops. Enjoy fish and chips or relax at the Rose & Crown Pub with a pint, and check out live music performances from the British Revolution band.
11. Canada Pavilion:
Experience the breathtaking scenery of Canada and catch the Circle-Vision 360 film Canada: Far and Wide. Don't miss Le Cellier Steakhouse for a meal that would make Canadians proud. The steaks are superb and of course you should try the poutine!
